POWER of 10/The Oregon Private College Career Network Launched

PORTLAND, Ore. 3/4 The Oregon Independent College Foundation (OICF) is pleased to announce it has launched a new job search web site called the POWER of 10/The Oregon Private College Career Network created to assist students from OICF’s ten member colleges and universities locate employment, and for OICF’s corporate partners to find highly motivated and talented students.

The new site at http://www.oicf.org/powerof10.html represents a new brand and identity for the OICF Career Workforce Development initiative, a program created to connect students and the corporate sector tincrease the recruitment and placement of OICF students as interns and employees at companies in the region.  Combining forces with corporate contacts and career service officers from the area’s ten leading independent colleges and universities, the program is designed to:

  • Connect top students with business communities and industries in the region
  • Build the region’s economy by retaining area talent
  • Assist corporate leaders with workforce goals

The POWER of 10/The Oregon Private College Career Network web site will:

  • Increase program effectiveness and efficiency
  • Allowing OICF to transform its operation by focusing efforts on student and corporate partner relationship development.
  • Exposing students ta wider variety of rewarding opportunities with companies that invest in Oregon’s leading independent colleges through the OICF.
  • Allow student’s special access to internship and employment opportunities offered by OICF’s Corporate Partners.
  • Save students time by being able to post their resumes on the site, learn more about our participating corporate partners, view upcoming events, set up interviews and decide next steps.
  • Saves corporate partners time and money by culling out top talent from the Oregon’s leading independent colleges and universities.
