The OICF’s POWER of 10/The Oregon Private College Career Network is a free resource for students and alumni of OICF’s member colleges and universities, which allows you to make professional development connections and find internships, part- and full-time employment opportunities and more. The POWER of 10/The Oregon Private College Career Network was created to complement existing programs at the member colleges, as well as leverages the OICF’s relationships with the business community. By joining the OICF’s POWER of 10, you will have access to employment and internship opportunities as well as find current information about OICF’s corporate partners, networking events, and other professional development activities.

Partnering with the OICF and the POWER of 10 is an outstanding way to connect with Oregon’s leading independent colleges and universities, as well as position your organization as a destination for thousands of students and alumni affiliated with our member institutions. Through the POWER of 10 network you will have access you will have direct access to OICF staff and possess the ability to target your recruiting to students and alumni within Oregon’s dynamic independent college sector. As an OICF corporate partner, you can become a member of the POWER of 10/The Oregon Private College Career Network and post employment and internship opportunities, provide information and links that tell your company’s history and story.

Please Note. Employment opportunities (internship, part-, and full-time) posted on the POWER of 10/The Oregon Private College Career Network group page on LinkedIn from partners that are not current OICF investors will be deleted. Additionally, members who do not adhere to this policy will be removed from the group.

How to join the POWER of 10/The Oregon Private College Career Network:

  • Go to LinkedIn.
  • Enter your name and email address on the right side of the screen, and create a password.  Then click “Join Now”.
  • When you join, create a profile that summarizes your professional expertise and accomplishments. Once you get established, you want to do the following:
    • Go to the Groups Directory page on LinkedIn.
    • Enter “POWER of 10/The Oregon Private College Career Network“ in the text box underneath “Search Groups”.
    • Join the group POWER of 10/The Oregon Private College Career Network. This requires you to ask to join the group followed by someone at OICF approving the request (verifying that you are either a student or alumni of an OICF college or university or a current OICF corporate partner).
  • Return Regularly!
