Brian Singer never planned on going to college, but as the time approached to apply both high school teachers and friends encouraged him to continue his education. Still skeptical he only applied to Linfield and did not even visit the campus before starting. The financial package he was offered had a significant role in making college a feasible option for him especially since he had not prepared or budgeted for such an option.
Brian has found inspiration to pursue a degree in finance and economics from his single mother and her financial struggles. He hopes to some day provide financial advising services to people in similar positions as his mother, as well as students. His two career aspirations are to be a stock analyst and a financial planner.
Brian keeps himself busy through out the year with his three jobs – assistant manager of a theater, work study, and construction worker. He also had an internship with SMB Financial last summer. He has been the recipient of the Nordstrom scholarship for the past two years.
